i have been fucking around with this computer looping program called fruity loops and it owns. I have been making really awesome hip hop beats and doing techno shit. I have 10 years of musical background so im probably going to buy the $150 version, build a computer for it and see if I can turn beats to cash

So it sounds like you know yer guitar shit, very cool. Much luck with that in the future...

Thanks for the offer on the electrics. I'll keep it in mind, but I just made a simple circuit (from a book) and that's ready to go (hopefully it will work!) Like I said, basically just have to paint it. Maple neck's done, made a bone nut, modified the head shape (it's a store bought neck), new machines, etc. It's a strat-type neck and Les-Paul type saddle on the other side. Can't remember the pick-up configuration, but I was big on humbuckers when I started it, so I think I put in one double coil in the only position I ever played the les Paul (up close to the saddle for higher pitch lead stuff). I don't need multiple pickups.

Damn, I need to finish this! It's at my Dad's house, and he's coming over tonight for Christmas eve, so I'll tell him to dig it up. If I'm in a really good mood I'll take a snap of it!

Have a good holiday, man...

good move on the bone nut you will get a kick ass sustain. I used to use only the brigde pickup but for like arena soloing shit(not really arena just me in my room with the reverb cranked up) it helps a lot cus its thick while the bridge is high in trebel. Humbuckers cancel out the hum because its two singlecoils wrapped against eachother so they cancel out eachother and act as one big magnetic field. It doesn't hurt to add more pickups. H_S_H works really well as a pickup configuration. The only one you never use is the middle pickup. Im not trying to show off my knowlege, i just thought these little facts could help you build a sick guitar.

nah, yer not showing off, we're talking shop.

The humbuckers kill some of the highs so I like to use the one down by the bridge 'cause I'm partial to highs. On the other side, the single coil can get too "tin" sounding for me. I like the doubles with all the tones on high... So really, I only EVER use one pickup, therefore my custom guitar just has the one.

Hey, I'm getting Steinberg Nuendo next week (digital PC recording/mixing & midi) and I'll be setting my old studio back up! Gotta dust off the old chops!!

Jesus Hairy Christ. You bastards seem to know a hell of a lot more about guitars than I do. I'm lucky if I can manage to play a song without descending into caterwauling feedback and blowing up my amplifier. Damn tech-heads.... Come to Australia and make our gear not sound like crap.

Cover it with gas and set it on fire.
:icontherimgreaper:
yeah i got an all tube amp because i wanted that "vintage" sound it sound great but if im using another effect it gets jelous and bitched feedback at me. We were jamming one time and i switched to an effect that sounded really weird without playing a note i sat there waiting for the feedback to errupt. Nothing. I then pelvic thrusted my crotch into the back of my guitar. My ears are still ringing.
